Sparklets - 2 Year Old Preschool Class

The first few years of your child’s life are crucial to the development of their personality and intellect. This is a period during which learning takes place at an accelerated pace. We provide the sense of security and loving care that toddlers need to thrive during this stage of intense learning.

Since toddlers are especially committed to achieving independence, our teachers provide responsive individual attention as your child deals with positive experiences, as well as frustration. Our teachers make the most of the rapid growth of gross and fine motor skills at this stage of development.

Sparks - 3-4 Year Old Preschool Class

In our "Sparks" program, we focus on developing independence and confidence in our children. Through creativity and warmth we teach them to love life, to love learning, and to love Judaism. We build the children's social and academic skills and make the learning fun, interactive, and alive. We make our little "Sparks" into strong and vibrant "Flames".

Flames - 4-5 Year Old Preschool Class

Boys and Girls Ages 4-5 Hours 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM

For our 4-year-old class, we combine both developmental activities as well as academics in preparing our children for the

more academically focused Lamplighter year. These include Parsha, Mitzvot, Jewish holidays, and Middot. Throughout the day we incorporate music and movement, and small group activities, which focus on specific skills such as number recognition, matching, measurements, letter recognition, and other pre-academic skills.

We introduce reading and literature, writing, verbal and non-verbal communication, social studies, math, and science. We expose these skills to our children through both center-based learning and teacher-oriented activities. When the children discover information on their own, the information process leaves a stronger impression and fosters a love for learning and discovery.

Lamplighters - 5-6 Year Old Preschool Class

The Pre-1A year is a year of transition and independence. We prepare the children for first grade and elementary school by focusing on their academics, as well as developing their independent judgement and decision making.

We include more traditional academic teaching while still incorporating creativity and experiential learning into the classroom. Our teachers strive to engage the student in all academic areas. Much of our structured curriculum is backed by interactive centers and hands-on experimental activities. The children have the options and opportunity to explore each concept further, either independently or with their peers, thereby enriching their educational experience.

We continue expanding both our on Judaic and secular curriculums. We introduce the children to both Hebrew and English reading, beginner's Math (addition and subtraction), science, and geography. Children entering any first grade class from Zlata’s Little Lights will be on par with their curriculum.
